Maria Amasanti is a freelance photojournalist based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She has a Master's Degree in Journalism from the Universidad Torcuato di Tella/LA NACION masters program, as well as a B.A. in Journalism and a B.A. in International Affairs, Middle East concentration, from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She has previously worked as the photography co-op for The Boston Globe, and served as a photographer for Northeastern University's official Marketing and Communications department, and has worked as a photojournalism intern at Diario Perfil. She has also completed an internship at LA NACION, working in both the photography department and the international desk as a reporter – the first person in the history of the program to have worked in two sections simultaneously. She attended the Eddie Adams Workshop XXXI in 2018 as part of the tie-dye team.
